Spencerian Place Cards

Earlier this year I worked with Onida Cruz on some place cards. The cards are written in Spencerian script using walnut ink. Spencerian script was developed by Platt Rogers Spencer in 1840. It was popular in America for business correspondence up until 1925 when the typewriter became popular. It’s popularity today is mainly thanks to master penman Michael Sull.

My thanks to Onida Cruz for the event photgraphs.
